About the Role
As an Intern, you will be involved in assisting with programming tasks, validating tool functionality, preparing documentation, and collaborating with the engineering team on various development activities. This role requires strong programming skills in MATLAB, Python, and Latex, coupled with foundational knowledge of GIT, CI/CD, and Artifactory.
Responsibilities
- Assist in designing and programming functions in MATLAB and Python for automated reporting and controller validation workflows.
- Support the testing and validation of new and existing software tools to ensure functionality and reliability.
- Collaborate with engineers to debug and enhance tool performance based on user feedback and project requirements.
- Implement and improve automated build, test, and CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) procedures to ensure efficient and reliable software delivery.
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of technical documentation for developed tools, including user guides and development notes.
- Support the creation of data analysis reports and technical presentations for engineering reviews.
- Prepare controller certification documents.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's (B.Tech, 3rd/4th year) or Master's (M.Tech, 1st year) degree in Control & Automation, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or a related engineering discipline.
- No prior professional experience required; academic or personal project experience in relevant programming languages is highly valued.
- Proficiency in Python Programming, MATLAB, and Latex.
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
- Experience with Software Testing methodologies.
- Familiarity with Version Control Systems (e.g., Git, Mercurial).
- Hands-on experience with agile development tools (e.g., Jira).
- Experience working with continuous integration pipelines (e.g., GitLab, Jenkins, Artifactory).
- Demonstrated Problem-Solving, Collaboration, Communication Skills (Written & Spoken), and a Proactive Learning attitude.
