AI Software Intern

As an AI Software Engineer Intern, you will collaborate with experienced AI and software engineers to design, develop, and support AI-powered applications. This role offers hands-on exposure to Generative AI, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI Agents, Machine Learning, and AWS cloud services, contributing to real-world AI platforms and solutions.

This internship provides a robust learning environment with mentorship, practical experience in modern AI engineering practices, and potential for conversion into a full-time role based on performance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing AI applications using RAG, conversational AI, AI Agents, and backend APIs on AWS.
• Support the building, testing, and evaluation of machine learning models (e.g., regression, classification, time series) and contribute to MLOps workflows.
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, model evaluation, CI/CD processes, and performance improvement activities.
• Collaborate in Agile ceremonies and help document AI solutions, experiments, and technical designs.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python and at least one additional programming language (Java, C++, or JavaScript).
• Understanding of software engineering, object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of Generative AI concepts, including LLMs, Prompt Engineering, RAG, AI Agents, and vector databases.
• Foundational Understanding of Machine Learning fundamentals, including Linear Regression, Classification, Time Series Analysis, model evaluation, and feature engineering.
• Familiarity with AWS services (S3, Lambda, ECS/EKS, Bedrock, SageMaker, API Gateway, DynamoDB/RDS) and REST APIs.
• Knowledge of Git, CI/CD, SQL, and strong analytical/problem-solving skills.
• M.Tech or MS in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning or Data Science.
