About the Role
We are hiring an Automation Intern to build cross-platform automation workflows, AI agents, and internal tooling that moves data and actions across systems like Google Workspace, internal APIs, and third-party SaaS.
This is a hands-on role for individuals who enjoy building things fast, learning independently, and solving practical engineering problems.
Responsibilities
- Building Python automations and internal tools that connect multiple platforms end-to-end
- Designing AI agents that read, write, and update files across the Google Workspace stack (Drive, Sheets, Docs, Gmail, Calendar) and other SaaS tools
- Configuring and integrating Backstage APIs including end-to-end auth, endpoints, plugin wiring, and production deployment
- Working with APIs and structured/unstructured data
- Implementing AI-assisted workflows, research pipelines, and agentic task automation
- Performing data cleaning, enrichment, and processing
- Conducting light web scraping and browser automation where needed
- Integrating databases
- Supporting production workflows and experiments
Requirements
Must-have Skills
- Python
- Comfort working with REST APIs and OAuth-based auth flows
- Strong debugging and problem-solving ability
- Ability to learn quickly and work independently
Good to have Skills
- Experience building agentic workflows (LangChain, LlamaIndex, OpenAI/Anthropic SDKs, MCP)
- Comfort with AI agentic platforms like OpenClaw, n8n, or similar agent runtimes/orchestrators
- Google Workspace APIs (Drive, Sheets, Docs, Gmail) or Apps Script
- Backstage or similar developer portal/internal tooling experience
- FastAPI / Flask
- PostgreSQL or SQL basics
- Docker
- Playwright or Selenium for occasional scraping/browser automation
- Comfort using AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor) effectively

Internship Details
