About the Role
As a Junior Environmental Monitoring Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting inspections and sampling, ensuring compliance with established procedures and reporting findings under supervision.
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections and sampling in accordance with inspection orders, procedures, operational instructions, and SGS guidelines, under the supervision of the responsible person in charge.
- Keep the Lead Inspector, Coordinator, or Project Leader informed about the progress of inspections.
- Participate in service opening and closing meetings.
- Prepare inspection-related documents, as applicable.
- Report non-conformities during inspections to the Lead Inspector, Operations Coordinator/Project Coordinator, Account Executive, or Project Leader, with the aim of applying appropriate corrective measures.
- Ensure compliance with the submission of operational and/or travel expense reports, as well as service deliverables, information synchronization, and other agreed items from the opening and closing meetings, according to the agreed days.
- Report monitoring equipment and vehicles that show maintenance or calibration observations, assigned to an inspection order, and ensure that all resources assigned to the service return in good condition.
- Participate in 5-Minute Safety Talks.
- Complete the Preliminary Risk Analysis (APR) form before starting work.
- Generate a monthly report of substandard acts and/or conditions in Intelex.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or Technical diploma in Environmental, Chemistry, Fishery, Biology, or related fields.
- Minimum of 12 months of experience in environmental monitoring (preferred).
- Availability to work rotating shifts.
- Willingness to travel.
- Ability to drive and possess a valid A1 driver's license (at least 3 years old) or A2b (at least 2 years old).
- Basic proficiency in Office software.
