Job Responsibilities
- Perform inspections and sampling according to the Inspection Order, procedures, operational instructions, and SGS instructions under the supervision of the person in charge.
- Keep the Lead Inspector, Coordinator, or Project Leader informed about the development of the inspection.
- Participate in service opening and closing meetings.
- Prepare inspection-specific documents, if applicable.
- Inform the Lead Inspector, Operations Coordinator / Project Coordinator, Account Executive, or Project Leader about non-conformities during the inspection, in order to apply appropriate corrective measures.
- Comply with the submission of operational and/or travel expense reports, as well as service deliverables, information synchronization, and other agreements made in the opening and closing meeting, according to the agreed days.
- Report monitoring equipment and vehicles that show maintenance or calibration observations assigned to an inspection order, and ensure that all resources assigned to the service return in good condition.
- Participate in 5-Minute Talks.
- Fill out the Preliminary Risk Analysis (APR) form before starting work.
- Generate a report of substandard acts and/or conditions in Intelex monthly.
- Comply with a minimum of 20 hours of safety training.
- Participate in the proposed Safety Tools.
- Participate in the annual quality training program with the aim of achieving qualification in basic sampling matrices.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's or Technician degree in Environmental, Chemistry, Fisheries, Biology, or related fields.
- Availability to work rotating shifts.
- Availability to travel.
- Minimum 3 months of work experience in these areas.
- Possession of a Class A1 (minimum 3 years) or A2b (minimum 2 years) driver's license (not exclusionary).
