Associate Software Engineer

About the Role

Noventiq is looking for an Associate Software Engineer to join their Services Delivery team in Mumbai. This role involves working on both front-end and back-end development, focusing on building responsive user interfaces and robust Java-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Meeting with the development team to discuss user interface ideas and applications.
• Reviewing application requirements and interface designs.
• Identifying web-based user interactions.
• Developing and implementing highly responsive user interface components using React concepts.
• Writing application interface codes using JavaScript.
• Troubleshooting interface software and debugging application codes.
• Developing and implementing front-end architecture to support user interface concepts.
• Monitoring and improving front-end performance.
• Documenting application changes and developing updates.
• Translate application storyboards and use cases into functional applications.
• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Java code.
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications.
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems.
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a similar field.
• Previous experience working as a Full Stack Developer (0-1 Years).
• In-depth knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and front-end languages.
• Knowledge of React tools including React.js, Webpack, Enzyme, Redux, and Flux.
• Experience with user interface design.
• Knowledge of performance testing frameworks including Mocha and Jest.
• Experience with browser-based debugging and performance testing software.
• Proficient in Java, with a good knowledge of its ecosystems.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming.
• Familiar with various design and architectural patterns.
• Skill for writing reusable Java libraries.
• Problem-solving skills and good understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Knowledge of concurrency patterns in Java.
• Familiarity with concepts of MVC, JDBC, and RESTful.
• Experience with popular web application frameworks, such as Spring and Hibernate.
• Must have experience with DB PostgreSQL, including strong proficiency in PL/pgSQL for writing stored procedures, functions, and triggers, along with schema design and query optimization; good to have experience with MongoDB and Redis.
• History of working on Cloud Platforms and related technologies.
• Knack for writing clean code.
• Experience with both external and embedded databases.
• Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application.
• Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes.
• Basic understanding of JVM, its limitations, weaknesses, and workarounds.
• Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
• Familiarity with build tools such as Maven and Gradle.
• Familiarity with continuous integration.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Good project management skills.
