Associate Software Engineer

About the Role

In this entry-level position, the employee's primary duty is to write code that meets project requirements and complies with documentation and design standards.

• Assists in writing the standard documentation used to translate project needs into software design specifications.
• Assists in correcting defects found through QA software testing and systems testing.
• Learns about roles played by software engineers in higher grades.
• Activities contribute to reliable code and documentation.
• Works under supervision on assigned tasks or portions of projects.
• Typically reports to Security Manager or a more senior technical leader.

Requirements

• Education/Work Experience: Typically requires a degree and fewer than 2 years’ experience; or no degree and 4-6 years combined education and equivalent work experience (typically 1 year experience = 1 year education).
