Associate Software Engineer

About the Role

As a C++ Developer, you will join a team responsible for Commodities pricing real-time applications and infrastructure for financial data contribution. You will be accountable for the analysis, definition, design, construction, testing, installation, modification, and maintenance of engineered information systems, containing software as the major component to meet agreed business needs.

Responsibilities

• Apply good knowledge of C++ and STL in developing business logic.
• Participate in Sprint planning sessions with team members to analyze development requirements.
• Develop and integrate applications using VC++ as per written specifications to onboard new content onto LSEG products.
• Develop software using focused software development processes, adhering to industry standards and software guidelines.
• Support resolution of customer queries by making changes to existing applications that generate/supply content to LSEG products.
• Carry out Automated unit testing, ensuring application meets client and business needs.
• Provide technical support to operations or other development teams.
• Build and maintain user documentation related to assigned components to ensure supportability.
• Support infrastructure related changes (server upgrades etc.) by doing post-change testing and ensuring no impact to content.
• Perform maintenance on existing software products or straightforward software improvements under direct supervision.
• Make suggestions for problem solutions or software improvements, typically reviewed by a more senior developer.
• Implement solutions as advised within standards and with mentorship from more senior engineers.
• Provide status updates for own scope of work within projects.
• Participate in internal team and status meetings.

Working hours for this position will be anywhere between 11 AM to 11 PM IST, totaling a 9-hour shift.
