About the Role

As a Software Engineer at bp, you will design, build, and optimize applications and data solutions. You will work across cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and modern engineering practices to deliver high-quality, scalable systems within the IT&S Group's Technology entity.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and maintain applications using Python, SQL, and cloud-native tooling.
  • Build and optimize data pipelines, ETL workflows, and API integrations.
  • Contribute to architecture discussions, code reviews, and design improvements.
  • Implement CI/CD processes using Git, automated testing, and deployment pipelines.
  • Monitor application performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot production issues with a root-cause mindset.
  • Work with product, data, and platform engineering teams.
  • Ticket Tracking.

Requirements

Technical Skills

  • Strong in Python, SQL; experience with Spark/Scala is a plus.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes).
  • Experience with SDLC, version control (Git), unit/integration testing.
  • Familiarity with Palantir Foundry concepts (Ontology, Pipelines, Workshop) is an advantage.

Soft Skills

  • Strong problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
  • Clear communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to evolving technologies.
