Key Responsibilities

CI/CD & Build Automation

  • Design, build, and maintain Jenkins pipelines (declarative and scripted) for automated build, test, and deployment workflows.
  • Integrate code quality gates, security scans, and automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve pipeline failures, improving build reliability and speed.
  • Support GitOps practices by maintaining version-controlled pipeline and infrastructure code.

Scripting & Automation

  • Write Shell scripts (Bash) to automate repetitive operational tasks, system configuration, and deployments.
  • Support infrastructure automation using tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
  • Maintain and improve internal tooling scripts used across teams.

Linux System Administration

  • Administer Linux servers (Ubuntu/CentOS/RHEL), including package management, service management, and performance tuning.
  • Diagnose and resolve OS-level issues related to networking, storage, and process management.
  • Harden Linux environments and apply security patches and kernel updates.

Containerization & Orchestration

  • Build, optimize, and maintain Docker images and container registries.
  • Work with Helm charts, manifests, and namespaces for workload management.

Collaboration & Documentation

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Dev, QA, Security) to streamline software delivery.
  • Document infrastructure architecture, runbooks, deployment guides, and post-incident reports.
  • Participate in sprint ceremonies, planning discussions, and code reviews.

Cloud Infrastructure (AWS)

  • Provision and manage AWS resources including EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, EKS, and CloudWatch.
  • Support cost optimization, tagging, and resource lifecycle management in AWS environments.
  • Assist in setting up and maintaining cloud-native networking and security configurations.

Monitoring & Observability

  • Set up and maintain monitoring and alerting using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or CloudWatch.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and respond to production alerts with timely root cause analysis.
  • Create dashboards and runbooks to improve visibility and incident resolution time.

Required Qualifications

  • 0-1 years of professional experience in a DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Infrastructure role.
  • Hands-on experience with Jenkins for CI/CD pipeline creation and management.
  • Solid understanding of Docker — building images, writing Dockerfiles, working with container registries.
  • Strong command of Linux — file system management, process control, and permissions.
  • Proficiency in Shell scripting (Bash) for automation and system administration tasks.
  • Understanding of Git and branching strategies (GitFlow, trunk-based development).
  • Familiarity with AWS core services: EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, and at least one managed service (EKS, RDS, etc.).
  • Practical working knowledge of Kubernetes — deployments, services, ConfigMaps, Secrets, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read and interpret system logs for debugging and root cause analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or ArgoCD.
  • Awareness of container networking (CNI plugins such as Calico or Cilium).
  • Experience with Ansible for configuration management and automation playbooks.
  • Exposure to Terraform or other Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools.
  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or Solutions Architect Associate certification is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Helm charts and Kubernetes package management.
  • Experience with monitoring stacks such as Prometheus + Grafana or ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana).
