SDE-1 Backend Developer

About the Role

We are looking for an SDE-1 Backend Developer to join our team. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services and RESTful/GraphQL APIs using Python (Django/FastAPI/Flask) and Node.js (Express/NestJS).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful/GraphQL APIs
• Build and optimize microservices architecture
• Design and manage relational and NoSQL database schemas
• Integrate third-party APIs and services
• Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code
• Optimize application performance
• Implement message queues and event-driven systems
• Collaborate with DevOps to containerize and deploy services
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical design decisions
• Debug and resolve production issues

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Python (Django, FastAPI, or Flask) or Node.js (Express/NestJS)
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design principles
• Experience with relational databases like MySQL/PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB
• Hands-on expertise with Redis and Elasticsearch
• Experience with message queuing systems like RabbitMQ, Kafka, or SQS
• Familiarity with Docker for containerization
• Good understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems fundamentals
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design fundamentals
• Good grasp of application security practices
• Ability to write unit/integration tests
