This is a fantastic opportunity to work within Everfox’s UX software team, seeking an ambitious and hardworking individual looking for hands-on experience within a unique and highly innovative company. You will help support the continuous improvement of workflows, practices, and processes employed by the UX engineering team, as well as contributing to continuous integration, deployment, testing/automation, and product engineering. Everfox offers a challenging, supportive, and fast-moving environment with plenty of room for personal development. Our technology stack ranges from bespoke hardware, FPGAs, and embedded software, to mobile and desktop applications, web services, and AWS.
This role is hybrid, requiring 2 days a week in-office at Waterloo, London.
Responsibilities
- Contributing to developing tools and enhancing infrastructure that automate the process of building, integrating, and testing our products.
- Supporting the engineering team in developing, integrating, and automating tests.
- Assisting in developing new pipelines for software build and integration.
- Leveraging AI tooling to accelerate productivity across engineering workflows, from code generation and review to test automation and documentation.
- Improving code maintainability and supportability.
- Supporting the maintenance of scripts to automate routine development activity.
- Investigating new technologies and performing rapid prototyping to support technical de-risking and discover new opportunities for design improvements.
- Recognising the industry that Everfox operates in and appreciating the importance of following our information security policies.
Requirements
- Keen interest in tech and/or the cybersecurity industry.
- Some skills in scripting with Python or Bash, and ideally a basic knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
- Familiarity with build systems would be desirable.
- Some minimal exposure to testing would be preferred.
- Able to multi-task and collaborate with multiple teams effectively.
- Pro-active and able to work well independently as well as part of a wider team.
- An interest in AI and emerging development tools, with a curiosity for how they can be applied to real-world engineering challenges.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Detail-oriented, highly organised, proactive, pragmatic, good time management skills.
- Candidates must have the right to work in the UK for the duration of the internship.
