Backend Engineer Intern

As a Backend Engineering Intern, you will work directly with experienced engineers and technical leaders to build scalable backend systems powering our AI platform. This is an opportunity to solve real engineering challenges, contribute to production-grade systems, and gain hands-on experience with products used by global semiconductor manufacturers. We are looking for interns who are excited to learn, enjoy solving complex problems, and want to build software that creates real-world impact.

Internship Duration

• Preferred internship duration: 5–6 months (flexible)
• High-performing interns may receive an extension and be considered for a Pre-Placement Offer (PPO).
• We plan to hire 2–4 interns for this role.

What You'll Do

• Build scalable, low-latency, high-performance backend applications.
• Design and develop backend APIs and services.
• Work closely with senior engineers on production systems.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
• Collaborate across teams to solve real customer problems.
• Learn modern software engineering practices in a fast-paced startup environment.

Skills We're Looking For

Required

• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Hands-on experience with the Django framework.
• Excellent Data Structures & Algorithms (DSA) knowledge.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.
• Good understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and backend development principles.

Good to Have

• Knowledge of relational databases and database design fundamentals.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Understanding of deployment pipelines and backend infrastructure.
• Prior internship experience at a product-based company is a plus.
