About the Role
As an Engineer, you will serve as a technical specialist delivering the engineering that powers our products. You will develop keen insight into technical architecture and design to deliver robust and scalable software components. You are expected to demonstrate depth of expertise by solving engineering problems, ensure software quality, and balance speed of delivery with robustness. You will handle operational issues with minimal oversight and actively review code to maintain software quality and functional accuracy across the team.
Responsibilities
- Provide input to assist with evaluation of new technologies and contribute to the design, lifecycle management, and total cost of ownership of services.
- Contribute to research and proof-of-concept initiatives for new technologies.
- Assist with code review and design review; write, organize, and maintain code based on designs.
- Deliver high-performance, scalable, repeatable, and secure solutions with guidance.
- Participate in structured construction, automation, debugging, and implementation activities, ensuring architectural and operational best practices are met.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning and activities.
- Participate in functional integration and regression testing, and automate test scripts.
- Resolve frequently encountered technical issues and monitor systems capacity with minimal assistance.
- Search and understand metadata about various data sources and metrics.
- Adhere to change and incident management standards and expectations.
Qualifications
- 4-year degree or equivalent experience.
- 1+ years of software development experience.
- Familiarity with current and emerging technologies in scope of responsibility, and ability to apply these technologies.
- Understanding of package solutions and package-specific programming language with knowledge of development objects.
- Demonstrated and continuously developing domain-specific knowledge.
- Proficiency in at least one computer language.
- Understanding of distributed programming concepts and ability to apply them.
- Knowledge of different data structures in your chosen programming language and how to apply them.
- Ability to maintain technical knowledge within areas of expertise.
- Stays current with new and evolving technologies via formal training and self-directed education.
