Role Description
The Software Engineer will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of JobBeeper’s core platform and services, focusing on reliability, scalability, and performance.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Implementing new features
- Improving existing functionality
- Writing clean and testable code
- Collaborating with product, design, and QA teams to deliver user-centered solutions
- Diagnosing and resolving technical issues
- Optimizing back-end systems and APIs
- Participating in code reviews and technical discussions
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, working closely with a cross-functional team to enhance the experience of job seekers worldwide.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Computer Science concepts, including data structures, algorithms, and systems design.
- Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, with experience building production-quality applications.
- Hands-on experience in Back-End Web Development, working with APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks.
- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and best practices.
- Relevant degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with modern development tools and workflows (version control, CI/CD, testing frameworks).
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, and to participate in collaborative code reviews.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in an on-site team environment.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, microservices, or distributed systems is a plus.
- Interest in building scalable platforms that improve the job search experience for diverse users.
