About Valu Ventures

Valu Ventures is a bootstrapped venture studio building small, profitable online businesses from Mumbai in the spirit of operators like Pieter Levels (levels.io) and Greg Isenberg (Late Checkout). We operate without outside funding, VCs, or chasing unicorns, focusing on shipping products and services that customers actually pay for, building in public as we go. This studio is a separate new business to Wicky AI.

We aim to launch 2 new businesses every quarter, reviewing each one at the 6-month mark to decide whether to double down or kill it. Our focus is on small, simple, scalable online businesses, avoiding physical stores, heavy capital, or shipping inventory. The studio is founded and run by Nakul Pednekar. You’ll work from an office with the founding team 2-3 times a week and in person with Nakul 3-4 times a year.

You'll be one of the first three hires, working directly with the founder and having real ownership of how the studio runs from day one.

The Role

You'll own the technical side of every business we launch. There is no CTO above you. You'll ship MVPs in days, not months, using GenAI-leveraged stacks (Cursor, Claude Code, Vercel, Supabase, Stripe). You'll also build the internal tooling that enables a 4-person studio to operate like a 15-person one. This role is for someone genuinely immersed in GenAI, actively using it daily to build things.

How We Work

• Build in public — share the wins, losses, numbers, and lessons as we go
• Hybrid: 2–3 days/week at WeWork BKC, rest remote

Responsibilities

• Build and ship MVPs for new business bets each quarter (web apps, landing pages, AI agents, automations)
• Own the full stack — frontend, backend, infra, deployment — across multiple products at once
• Build internal tools, dashboards, and automations that make the studio run faster
• Make pragmatic build vs. buy calls; AI-leverage everything you can
• Keep things shippable and simple — we optimize for speed and learning, not enterprise architecture

Requirements

• A recent Engineering / CS grad from a strong Mumbai college
• Already immersed in GenAI — Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot are part of how you build, not just tools you've read about
• You've shipped something on your own, whether it’s a side project, a college hackathon win, or a tool people actually use
• Comfortable across the stack: JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, a modern frontend framework, basic devops
• Genuinely interested in startups and how businesses make money, not just how code works
• English fluent, comfortable owning decisions, comfortable being the only engineer in the room
