Backend Engineer (Python)

About the Role

We are seeking a Backend Engineer with Python expertise to join an IT services and consulting company in Gurugram. This role requires 2-3 years of experience and offers a salary range of ₹18-25 LPA. Your application will be reviewed directly by our recruiting desk, ensuring personal attention.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend systems using FastAPI, Python, and Pydantic.
• Work with APIs, Asyncio, and implement security across the wider stack.
• Take ownership of features from end-to-end, including design, build, test, ship, and bug resolution.
• Clearly explain technical decisions to non-involved parties.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of experience with FastAPI in production environments.
• Deep hands-on expertise in Python and Pydantic, capable of defending technical decisions and identifying alternatives.
• Working familiarity with APIs, Asyncio, and Security principles.

Expected Technologies & Practices

While not the primary focus of the interview, candidates should be ready to discuss their experience with:

• Version Control: Git, including branching and code review practices.
• Cloud Platforms: Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• CI/CD: Understanding of continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines.
• Containerization: Docker and container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, ECS, or equivalent) in production.
• Databases: SQL expertise beyond basic CRUD operations, including indexes, query plans, and performance tuning.
• Messaging/Streaming: Familiarity with queue or stream technologies (Kafka, SQS, RabbitMQ) and handling back-ups.
• Observability: Experience with reading and utilizing logs, metrics, and traces for troubleshooting.
