About the Company
PiggyBank Ventures is an incubator building AI-first consumer applications. They are currently developing Nestora - an AI-powered mobile app designed to help people manage communication intelligently. This role involves applied AI at the edge, dealing with limited context, small models, real-time performance, and messy data, where accuracy and reliability are paramount.
Their team consists of repeat founders and operators with extensive experience in building and scaling products, boasting backgrounds from top-tier universities and technical programs. This role supports a US client.
About the Role
This is an active and hands-on role where you will work directly on the AI systems powering a product that is heading to market. The AI operates within the tight constraints of a mobile phone environment, requiring the ability to handle limited screen context, predict user inputs, and meet real-time performance demands.
Your contributions will directly influence real product decisions and will be shipped to users. For the right candidate, this role offers the potential to expand into broader ownership across product quality and system design.
Responsibilities
- Design and improve prompts for classification and extraction tasks
- Run structured evaluation cycles, including accuracy assessment, error analysis, and iteration
- Build datasets for testing and validation purposes
- Analyze outputs from real usage, including logs, SQLite data, and structured results
- Write Python scripts for testing, scoring, and comparisons
- Identify failure patterns and propose effective improvements
- Validate system behavior in iOS simulation environments
- Document findings in a clear and structured manner
Requirements
We highly value problem-solving ability and a proactive approach over formal credentials.
- Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Science, AI/ML, Data Science, or a related field, with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
- Experience shipping at least one production-grade mobile app
- Strong proficiency in React Native, Expo, and the iOS ecosystem
- Python proficiency for scripting and data validation
- Experience working with APIs and local databases (e.g., SQLite)
- Experience or formal training with Large Language Models (LLMs) and prompt engineering
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Clear and proactive communication
- Availability for a full-time (or near full-time) internship
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to analyze results and iterate systematically

- Your experience with AI tools is limited to basic usage
- All of your experience is derived solely from coursework
- You prefer well-defined assignments with clear answers
- You are not interested in analyzing and debugging system failures
Work Timing
- Primary Shift: 7:30 PM IST to 4:30 AM IST
- Flexible Option: Half-day overlap with US teams, potentially a 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM IST shift
